"Let Me Hear You Catholics"

On February 8th-10th 59 teens and adults from St. Martin's youth group gathered with 2000 of their closest Catholic friends for a weekend of prayer, praise, laughter, and healing. The event was a fantastic experience for all. The retreat was run by the seminarians of Mount St. Mary's Seminary. Many priests, seminarians, and religious sisters and brothers shared this amazing expereince with us and were beautiful witnesses for our young people.

One highlight of the event was a special walk to the Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes in hopes of receiving a plenary indulgence for visiting this holy place of Mary a few days before Her feast day. We also celebrated the Holy Sacrafice of the Mass together and spent time with Jesus in Eucharistic adoration.

Please continue to pray for the youth of our Church. Indeed as our Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI says,"the Church is young." 2000 young people were sent forth this weekend to bring the light of Christ to their families, schools, and communities. Praised be Jesus Christ, now and forever!
